The People at DCU

DCU employee

I personally love our fitness center. It helped me stay in-shape throughout my pregnancy and I have continued using it since. Being a working mom, it’s so helpful to have it right here on site.

Bobbi Ewing

I love having access to the expertise and knowledge of my colleagues. When I bought my last car, a consumer loans specialist helped me expedite my loan request and get my check the same day!

DCU sets our employees up to be successful through a culture that promotes helping, supporting and enabling others to be the best they can be.

We take a keen interest in the growth of employees interested in staying at the credit union, but potentially changing roles. Vice Presidents frequently coordinate shadow days and on-the-job learning opportunities in the departments employees aspire to.

Career Development Counseling

We assist employees in identifying and improving skills so that they may expand and enrich their current job or change careers. This is accomplished through internal on-the-job training to improve job skills, internal cross-training, educational aid for continuing education or seminars, and our job-posting program.

Ongoing Training Programs

Training in DCU's products, procedures, sales skills, and systems is essential for staff to perform efficiently and satisfy members. We provide our employees with a number of one-time and on-going training programs, including new hire training, product training modules, sales training, diversity training, computer skills, system training and leadership development.

DCU hosts an annual Innovation Contest where our employees can present their ideas to the Senior Team. Employees are challenged to provide ideas on cutting-edge banking and financial innovations. Cash prizes are awarded to winning teams. The best ideas are implemented.
