Laura & Patrick provided me with AMAZING DCU MEMBER service. I walked into the Waltham Branch and meet with Patrick who coordinated with Laura to provide me with ideal member services on short notice. I was seeking to take capitalize on tremendous end of the year auto cash incentives offered to any credit union member by GMC on new auto purchases. Both Patrick & Laura introduced me to all the benefits we have as DCU members and I am very grateful for their support. Laura is AWESOME My boyfriend and I went into this branch to open a new account and Laura was the person that helped us. Our experience with her was so great I had to write a review. She was so helpful and explained everything we needed to know. She was friendly and related to us on a personal level. Her customer service is outstanding! Customer service is so important and it seems that now a days it is rare to find good customer service. I love DCU as a bank but I love the customer service more. Great customer service and loan options. I went to the Waltham branch to refi my auto loan and met with Sean to start the process. He was very helpful and the paperwork went seamlessly. The refi saved me $75 a month and a lot more over the life of the loan. I also mentioned to Sean that I was interested in a personal loan and if I could apply right then. He and the Branch Manager crunched the numbers and found that the DCU Visa card was a better option for me, saving me even more money. I honestly have never seen that level of customer service from a bank. I became a member that day. December 13, 2014
Fantastic Service from People who Actually Care! The Waltham, MA branch of DCU is a great place to do your personal banking. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful. In addition to their upbeat attitude I find that they tend to know what they are doing a bit more than you tend to find at the larger national banks. The manager Laura is very sharp, she understands the industry, and if you ask for her help she is very much empowered to assist you. In general Digital Federal Credit Union is a fantastic place to keep your Checking and Savings accounts. They also have attractive rates for Auto Loans as well as Credit Cards. I originally became a member to finance a vehicle and soon thereafter ended up setting up checking, savings, and a visa card with DCU. It’s been seven years and I have never had an issue with them. At every turn they have given me the benefit of the doubt. • My DCU Debit Card was cloned and fraudlent withdrawals were made – DCU replaced the money right away • I deposited a check that bounced which could have had a domino effect and cause me to miss a mortgage payment – DCU covered me • Cutting it close with an obligation and wasn’t able to deposit a check until the same day the draft was coming out – DCU didn’t rake me over the coals while they waited for my deposit to clear, instead they made the funds available immediately If you are sick of banking with a large national institution that seems to charge you are every possible opportunity, never gives you the benefit of the doubt, and seems to be working against your bottom line then you should definitely consider DCU. Love this bank!!! The first time i heard about this bank i was a little hasitant about applaying. I finally decided to give them a try. Samantha was awesome! Right away i noticed how friendly she is. She helped me through the precess and even got me started on options to improve my credit. Latter i came back to this same location, hoping i would get to apply with her for my first credit card. I did, and she was great. Since she did a really great job at explaining all the process and everything I needed to apply, i was ready. The process was so fast i was able to get my card the same day! I am so glad i walked through the door of the DCU waltham location. And don't even get me started on the App. Not to mention that everytime i walk in for anything I am always welcomed in a friendly awesome way. Thanks guys for being an AWESOME branch. October 4, 2014

yes because eventually you will have to open a savings account, but this is also a free thing to do.

Youd have to be a member first, this doesnt not require alot to become one. There are a number of ways to become a member and the car loan doesnt take much time in terms of getting information on approval.

Hey, you have to become a member first and you also have to add money to that account when you do becomea member. That's how I got my car loan. Goodluck!

You may apply for a loan prior to becoming a member of DCU, however, you will need to establish a DCU Membership prior to your loan being funded.

I am currently approved for a car loan at dcu but is it possible to change it to a personal and would it be as much red tape.

Answer: 
Applying for a Personal Loan is just as easy as applying for an Auto Loan with DCU. Rates are much lower when secured by collateral, such as, a vehicle or home. Please call us if you wish to switch your application from an Auto Loan to a Personal Loan so a Loan Officer may reconsider your loan request based on this change.
