Extremely helpful and responsive service Every time I have a question about a loan, home/auto insurance, my accounts, even my rewards points, I am able to simply email one of the member service people and I receive helpful answers the same day. Life is busy, and when I have an issue or a question related to banking, it's infinitely better to be able to simply pop off an email and put it out of my mind, rather than being tethered to an automated phone queue like you would at one of the big chain banks. Jonathan Gonzalez-Stonesifer and Mona Stevens are my go-to people at DCU, and they have helped me time and again with all manner of banking needs. The way banking should be, and how customers should be treated. Unbelievably friendly, helpful people. They gave me the best rate possible on my new car loan, and their available services are more than I could want or need. Reshna, in particular, was outstanding, and I had my new checking account, debit/check card, and a new credit card - all in my pocket - in less than 20 minutes - and in that time, she also had time to chat with me - not just banking, but a really nice conversation. Excellent service i walked into DCU in Burlington hoping to refinance my car, as soon as i walked in i was greeted by Jonathon Stonesifer who was very welcoming and friendly. I was able to refinance my car and save myself huge money thanks to him and he made me feel very comfortble throughout the whole process. You could read the manual that came with your printer or, if you don't have it, google the model name of your printer plus the word TWAIN and see what comes up.

Answer: 
To scan directly into the PC Deposit website a member must have a TWAIN Compliant scanner that is physically connected to the member's computer with a cord. You may perform a Google search of your scanners make and model to confirm it has a TWAIN driver.

Do I give it back to the originator? Do I keep it for my records? Typically checks are returned to the bank they are drawn on.

You don't have to, but I like to write "DEPOSITED" across the front with maybe the date, and file it away with my other receipts. You can just throw it away if you would like. The copy you made with your phone is the only thing returned electronically to the originating bank along with the DCU debit notice information. If you deposit the check at DCU, they scan it and return the scanned copy to the originating bank, and destroy the original check.

Answer: 
You must securely store each original check for a period of sixty (60) days after the check has been deposited. After sixty days, you must destroy the original check. Scanned checks must not be submitted into ATMs or sent to Mail Branch.

I no longer have access to the scanned image and am trying to verify if a check was deposited. I have a reference number for the suspected deposit.

You may not have the scanned/picture image, but you should still have the check. Don't throw the checks away, file them for future reference. I just write "Deposited" across the front of the check and the date.

Answer: 
In order to view images for items deposited through PC Deposit, you would want to login to PC Branch and click the PC Deposit tab as if you were initiating a new online check deposit. You would then click the Deposit History link within PC Deposit to view images submitted and accepted for deposit.

By using DCU, can I transfer money to India !
If so,
1. What could be the fee per transaction
2. No. of transactions allowed in a month / year
3. What could be the rate of exchange

If I looked a little bit on this one I could probably give you a better answer but I think you can find that answer by going to the top and press one of the corresponding windows. I am pretty sure you can transfer money overseas. I think there is a fee involved but have no idea how many times or if there is a limit to how many times. As far as rate of exchange I know nothing about that. I would ask my service manager that question. Sorry I could not help you more.

You may complete an International Wire Transfer at any time for the funds available in your DCU accounts. The fee is $40 for International Wire Transfers sent in Foreign Currency and $50 if sent in US Currency. The exchange rate is determined by our third party service at the time funds are sent.
