Requirements

How Your Information is Secure

  • For user authentication and reporting purposes, member numbers are stored but never shared or visible to outside parties.
  • Mobile Banking data is encrypted using the Wireless Transport Layer Security (WTLS) protocol and HTTPS/SSL, which provides the highest level of security.
  • A session timeout will happen after 20 minutes of inactivity which prevents someone from picking up your phone and accessing accounts.

Browsers Required for Online Banking 

While a variety of browsers may work to use and navigate Online Banking, only the latest versions of the following browsers and versions are supported to work as intended:

Online Banking Browser Settings

You may need to change your browser settings to perform online banking transactions in some situations.

Learn how to edit settings to accept 3rd party cookies

  1. Click on TOOLS
  2. Select INTERNET OPTIONS
  3. Click the Privacy tab
    1. Click the Advanced button
    2. Put a checkmark next to "Override Automatic Cookie Handling"
    3. Under First-Party Cookies make sure the radio button is set to Accept
    4. Under Third-Party Cookies make sure the radio button is set to Accept
    5. Put a checkmark next to "Always Allow Session Cookies"
    6. Click the OK button

How to set recommended security settings

  1. Click on TOOLS
  2. Select INTERNET OPTIONS
  3. Click on the SECURITY tab
    1. Set the Security slider to Medium (if slider bar is not available, then use Default Level)
    2. Click the button "Custom Level"
    3. Under File Download, make sure the radio button is set to Enable
    4. Under Scripting of Java applets, make sure that the radio button is set to Enable
    5. Click on OK
  4. Click the ADVANCED tab
    1. Under Security, make sure the checkbox for "do not save encrypted pages to disk" is blank
    2. Also under the Security section, put a check mark next to "Use SSL 3.0" AND "Use TLS 1.0"
    3. Click OK

How to delete all temporary internet files

  1. Click on TOOLS
  2. Select INTERNET OPTIONS
  3. Click the GENERAL tab
  4. Under Browsing History, click the 'Delete...' button.
  5. In the Delete Browsing History popup window, put a check mark next to "Temporary Internet Files and Website Files". (User may decide whether to put a check mark in all other boxes in this window)
  6. Click on the 'Delete' button at bottom of popup window
  7. Click on OK until exited completely from options

How to Delete Cookies Only

  1. Click on TOOLS
  2. Select INTERNET OPTIONS
  3. Click the GENERAL tab
  4. Under Browsing History, click the 'Delete...' button
  5. In the Delete Browsing History popup window, check the box for "Cookies and Website Data"
    1. Uncheck all other boxes in this window, with possible exception of 'Preserve Favorites Website Data'
  6. Click on the 'Delete' button at bottom of popup window
  7. Click on OK until exited completely from options

How to set recommended security settings

  1. From the menu bar, click on 'Tools'
  2. From the Tools dropdown, select 'Options'
  3. In the Options window, select the 'Privacy' icon
  4. The box for 'Always use private browsing mode' should be UNchecked
    1. If the 'Firefox will' dropdown is 'Never Remember History' cookies will be deleted from the browser upon close; if the user is experiencing trouble with the MFA cookie, change the option to 'Remember History' (the cookie then remains between sessions)
    2. If the 'Firefox will' dropdown option is 'Use Custom Settings for History'
      1. ensure that the box 'Accept Cookies from Sites' is checked
      2. ensure that the 'Accept Third-party Cookies' dropdown is set to 'Always'.
      3. The 'Keep Until' dropdown should be set to 'They Expire'
      4. The 'Clear History when Firefox closes' box should be UNchecked (NOTE : if this box is checked, MFA will be required at each login, even if the computer was enrolled as 'Private')
  5. In the 'Options' window, select the 'Content' icon
    1. The box for 'Block Pop-up Windows' should be UNchecked
  6. Click the 'OK' button to close the 'Options' window

  2. From the 'History' menu, select 'Clear Recent History'
  3. In the 'Time Range to Clear' dropdown choose 'Everything'
  4. In the 'Details' section, click the arrow to expand (if necessary)
  5. Ensure that 'Cache' is the only option selected and click 'Clear Now'
  6. Click the 'OK' button to close out of 'Options' window

  1. Open the Settings page by clicking on the icon with the three stacked horizontal lines to the right of the address bar. Clicking will open a drop down menu as shown below. The Settings link will be located towards the bottom of the menu.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Show advanced settings…"
  3. Locate the "Privacy" section and choose "Content Settings…"
  4. In the "Content settings" overlay ensure that the following options are set:
    1. Cookies: The option for "Block third-party cookies and data" is unchecked

How to set recommended security settings

  1. Open the Settings page
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Show advanced settings…"
  3. Locate the "Privacy" section and choose "Content Settings…"
  4. In the "Content settings" overlay ensure that the following options are set:
    1. CookiesAllow local data to be set (recommended)
    2. JavaScriptAllow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)
    3. Pop-upsAllow all sites to show pop-ups 

*Please note that Google Chrome no longer supports NPAPI plugins. This includes Java. Java is required to utilize direct scanning with DCU’s Online Deposit service. Because of this, Online Deposit for Google Chrome will only function with the “Zero Client” version of the service.

How to delete all temporary internet files

  1. Open the Settings page
  2. In the left-hand navigation click on "History"
  3. Click the "Clear all browsing data…" button at the top of the page; this will open up an overlay with the title "Clear browsing data"
  4. From the "Obliterate the following items from" the dropdown, choose "the beginning of time"
  5. Ensure the following item is checked and uncheck all other items not listed:
    1. Empty the cache
  6. Click the "Clear browsing data" button

How to Delete Cookies Only

  1. Open the Settings page
  2. In the left-hand navigation click on "History"
  3. Click the "Clear all browsing data…" button at the top of the page; this will open up an overlay with the title "Clear browsing data"
  4. From the "Obliterate the following items from" the dropdown, choose the date range that is most appropriate; please note that this will delete all cookies for the user for the given timeline regardless of site:
    1. Selecting "the past day" should help clear cookies related to a user's session
    2. Selecting "the beginning of time" will remove all cookies in the browser
  5. Ensure the following item is checked and uncheck all other items not listed:
    1. Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data
  6. Click the "Clear browsing data" button

  1. From the menu bar, click/select the Safari menu (upper left hand corner next to the apple symbol)
  2. From the Safari menu, select "Preferences"
  3. In the Preferences window, click the Privacy Tab
  4. In the "Cookies and Website Data" section, select the "Always Allow" radio button

How to set recommended security settings

  1. From the menu bar, click/select the Safari menu
  2. From the Safari menu, select "Preferences"
  3. In the Preferences window, click the "Security" icon/tab
  4. In the "Web Content" section
    1. Click (ON) the checkbox for: "Allow plug-ins"
    2. Click (ON) the checkbox for "Enable Java"
    3. Unclick (OFF) the checkbox for Block pop-up windows 
      It is recommended that "Block pop-up windows" be turned OFF because Internet Banking utilizes pop-up windows (e.g. Printer Friendly window, etc.). NOTE
      Block pop-up windows can also be turned on/off from the Safari menu
  5. In the Preferences window, click the "AutoFill" icon/tab
  6. Unclick (OFF) the checkbox for "User names and passwords"
  7. Close the Preferences window

How to delete all cookies and temporary internet files

  1. From the menu bar, click/select the Safari menu.
  2. From the Safari menu, select "Preferences..."
  3. In the Preferences window, click the "Privacy" icon/tab
  4. Click the "Remove All Website Data" button
  5. Click "Remove Now"
  6. Close the Preferences window
