Online Deposit Details
Deposit checks from anywhere with DCU's Online Deposit! Online Deposit allows you to deposit checks from anywhere, anytime with your camera-equipped smart phone or tablet computer or a scanner attached to your PC or Mac.
Now you will never have to mail in your checks, drive to an ATM, or visit a Shared Branch again. The process is very simple and convenient. Below are some highlights about this outstanding service:
- It's free and available 24 hours a day 7 days a week (data rates may apply)
- Easy to use – deposit a check in less than 2 minutes
- It's safe and secure within Online Banking and Mobile Banking
- We email you when deposits are processed or if any adjustments are made
- Funds are credited the same business day if submitted by the standard processing time
- You will no longer need to fill out deposit slips or make photocopies of the checks you receive
- Easily load check images into your accounting software
- Copies of deposited checks are kept in Online Deposit for 6 months for easy retrieval
Online Deposit Registration
To begin using Online Deposit, you'll first need to register online. Here's how:
- To register on your computer
- Log into Online Banking by clicking or tapping on the Login button in the upper-right hand corner of any page of dcu.org and input your DCU member number and online banking password.
- Select the "Online Deposit" link in the top navigation bar.
- Select "Register."
- To register on your mobile device
- Log into Mobile Banking
- Touch the Deposit button on your screen
- Choose the depositing account
- Accept the Online Deposit Terms and Conditions.
Please note that you'll need to have a current email address on file with your Online Banking Account. Don't have one? Select User Options in Mobile Banking or Online Banking to update your information.
Once you've agreed to the DCU Online Deposit Disclosure and Agreement, please allow 1 business day for us to process your registration
Using Online Deposit with a mobile device
Once you have downloaded and installed the appropriate DCU Mobile Banking app on your compatible iPhone, iPad, or Android device and have registered for Online Deposit user through Online Banking, you can begin to deposit checks.
- Make sure the back of the check is endorsed with...
- your signature
- The phrase, "DCU Mobile Deposit Only"
- Log onto Mobile Banking and select Deposit.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to enter the total amount of the check(s) to deposit, and photograph the front and back of the check. Once you receive an email confirming your deposit, write PROCESSED on the check(s) and store in a safe place. You can destroy deposited items after 60 days.
Using Online Deposit with a computer and scanner
Once approved, you can start using Online Deposit to deposit checks from your PC or Mac in 5 easy steps:
- Make sure the back of the check is endorsed with...
- your signature
- The phrase, "DCU Online Deposit Only"
- Log onto Online Banking and select Online Deposit then proceed on the next screen.
- Choose the account you would like the check(s) deposited to.
- Use the "Choose Scanner" button to choose the appropriate scanner. Enter the total amount of the check(s) to deposit. Then, using your scanner, scan the front and back of the check(s) and click Submit to continue to the Deposit Review step. Once you receive an email confirming your deposit, write PROCESSED on the check(s) and store in a safe place. You can destroy deposited items after 60 days.
Deposit processing time frames
- Business hours for Online Deposit are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday Eastern Time, except holidays.
- Checks submitted and approved for deposit prior to the end of our business day will be deposited to your account on the same day.
- Deposits submitted after the end of our business day will be deposited on the next business day.
