Southeast Asian Heritage Night & Indian Heritage Night at Polar Park
At DCU, we believe strong communities are built through connection, inclusion, and a celebration of the diverse cultures that make our region unique. Supporting events that bring people together is one of the many ways we invest in the communities we proudly serve.
In July, DCU proudly supported both Southeast Asian Heritage Night (7/11) and Indian Heritage Night (7/24) at Polar Park in Worcester, alongside community partners including the Southeast Asian Coalition of Central Massachusetts and the India Society of Worcester. These events brought together WooSox fans, families, community organizations, and local leaders to celebrate culture, community, and connection.
Together, they honored the traditions, values, and contributions of Southeast Asian and Indian communities, highlighting the diversity and vibrant cultural heritage that strengthen Central Massachusetts.
Indian Heritage Night also drew strong participation from the local Indian community before a sellout crowd of 8,456.
From cultural performances and community recognition to traditional food, music, and post-game festivities, the event showcased the vibrancy of Indian culture and the many contributions of the Indian community to the region.
Supporting these events is important to DCU because they reflect the communities we serve and create opportunities for people to come together, learn from one another, and build meaningful connections. Heritage Nights encourage cultural celebration while fostering authentic engagement among residents, businesses, and community organizations.
These partnerships strengthen relationships, reinforce a sense of belonging, and demonstrate DCU's commitment to supporting the diverse communities that make Central Massachusetts such a special place to live, work, and thrive.
