Rated 5 out of 5 by from Look no further I've been a DCU member since its inception and I still use it even after I relocated to California. You wanna know why? Because of how they treat you as a customer. Their services are beyond excellent, they approve your loans without making you jump through the hurdles, and I've yet to find me a better bank or one like it.

How do I sign up for direct deposit?

Asked by: DCU Member
You need to do this through your employer. You will asked to provide DCU's routing number (search the website or call customer support) and your account number (from the bottom of your checks... NOT the account nickname or your member number!) Please note your employer may not provide direct deposit as an option and if this is the case you will not be able to set up direct deposit. This is a limitation of your employer, and not DCU.

Can I have part of my direct deposit go to one institution and the rest go to DCU, so in effect having direct deposit happen at two different place?

Asked by: Mike
Yes, however this is something you would need to set up through your employer and/or their payroll company. Most of the major payroll companies (ADP, for example) support multiple destinations for direct deposit. Your other option is to set up a recurring external transfer to route the deposit outside of your DCU accounts, but bear in mind there are limits to these services, so check the fine print first.

direct deposit 2 days faster

If I get paid on wednesday because of direct deposit 2 days faster is it only calculating how much I'm getting paid from sunday to wedesday or it calculate all the days and I recieve all the money by wedesday? And am I getting paid every two weeks or one week?
Asked by: monkeylover
Your payroll deposits will depend on your employer's pay schedule. Your Direct Deposit can be made up to 2 days early, but we can\ not guarantee Direct Deposits are going to be deposited two days early as it all depends on when your employer's payroll provides their Direct Deposit file to DCU for the incoming deposit.

How do I set up direct deposit of my paycheck to be distributed to my savings, money market, and checking accounts

I would like to set up direct deposit so that fixed amounts go into the savings and money market accounts and the balance goes into the checking account.
Asked by: Al
You will need to access the Direct Deposit form in Online Banking to print Direct Deposit letters for each of your Savings, Money Market, and Checking accounts to provide to your employer for this. Once logged in, hover over the ACCOUNT MANAGER tab, click Home, select Manage Accounts, then choose the Direct Deposit link. Fill out this form for each of your accounts.

Direct Deposit for Auto Loan

My employer does not use direct deposit to pay my salary. The cash is deposited into my account as an over the counter transaction. Are there any other means of paycheck transfer that qualify as direct deposit with DCU? Im concerned about this because i am hoping to get a lower rate on my auto loan.
Asked by: Sammy
If your employer does not offer direct deposit but you are making regular deposits of your pay into your DCU Checking Account on a weekly or bi-weekly period we may be able to consider these deposits as direct deposit. We may also require a letter from your employer stating that they do not offer direct deposit. If you have recently applied for an Auto Loan please review these details with the Loan Representative or contact our Information Center for assistance.
