All in the Family
Most members first hear about DCU from another satisfied member-usually a relative or coworker. Donna and Steve Morrissey were so impressed by DCU's philosophy of putting the member first that they got their parents, Marjorie and Louis Morrissey and Dell and Stu Covey, their daughters Heather Morrissey and Kristyn Ward, and son-in-law Randy Ward to join.
Membership Musings
"Getting my parents to join was easy," Steve says. "In fact, I think my mom's a more active PC Branch user than I am." "And why not?" Marjorie asks. "With direct deposit of our pensions and Social Security, I can move my money around from our home computer. There's really no need to go into a branch. Bill Payer is the next service I'm going to try."
Donna's mom, Dell, says, "Yes, it's easy to keep track of our money and certificates."
"I know it helped Heather and Kristyn when they went away to college," says Donna. "We signed them up for the CashPak student account service. I really feel it was because of this and being able to look up their accounts on PC Branch that they learned how to manage checking and Visa® accounts."
"I just financed my second car loan at DCU," Heather says. "I really liked going to the DCU web site and determining what I could afford using the calculators." "Yes, that's right," Steve says. "The web pages are nicely for-matted and service-oriented."
Getting Down to Business
When it came time for Randy to launch his application development company, Technology Barn, the Morrisseys steered him to DCU. But Randy didn't jump right away. He did some comparison shopping and found that came out ahead. "One of the best things about DCU's business account for a small business like mine is the ability to see all of our accounts and transfer funds accordingly," says Randy. "I can even transfer funds with my cell phone. The fact that it exports to Quicken® and ties into my accountant is great."
All in the Family
The Morrisseys use DCU in many different ways, including checking accounts, auto loans, Visa cards, certificates, money market accounts, and business accounts. There are products and services to help each family member achieve financial well-being.
"We all love DCU; it's a combination of the products and the service," Donna says. "I'm glad I recommended DCU to my family."
