Advocacy
American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) is a membership organization working to ensure economic self-sufficiency and political empowerment for Americans with disabilities. Membership is open to everyone – people with a disability, their family, friends, and supporters. The site has information about AAPD, membership benefits, and how to join.
World Association of Persons with Disabilities (WAPD) is a membership organization helping people to achieve a higher quality of life. The resources section is very detailed. It also has a bulletin board and chat room.
Law, Health Policy & Disability Center focuses on improving the quality of life for persons living with disabilities. It concentrates on public policy and its impact on persons with disabilities primarily in the areas of employment, self-determination, and self-sufficiency.
Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law provides legal advocacy for the civil rights and human dignity of people with mental disabilities. The site has alerts and legislative updates, advocacy resources, and information on many issues.

Informational
New Horizons Un-Limited provides information on resources and services. Resource topics include adaptive technology, arts and culture, communication, community, education, employment, finances, health and care, housing, independent living, legislation, recreation and sports, safety and transportation. Resourses are also listed by category.
National Organization on Disability (NOD) promotes the participation of people with disabilities in all aspects of life. Some of their programs include EmployAbility, Community Partnership, National Partnership, and Accessible America.
Paws with a Cause trains Assistance Dogs nationally and provides lifetime team support.
Easter Seals provides services to children and adults with disabilites and other special needs. Find an Easter Seals location near you. Services include medical rehabilitation, employment & training, children's services, adult & senior services, and camping & recreation.
