Money Wires
Money wires or wire transfers are a fast, safe way to move money between accounts at different financial institutions.
You can order a Domestic Wire from DCU by logging into PC Branch and selecting Secure Forms, calling the Information Center at 508.263.6700 or 800.328.8797, or by visiting any DCU branch. You can order a International Wire from DCU by logging into PC Branch and selecting Secure Forms, by visiting any DCU branch, or by faxing an International Wire Request Fax Form to 508.983.6382.
To send a wire, we'll need...
- The Prime member's name, your name – if not the Prime member, your member number, and the residential address.
- The account (suffix) number of the account from which the funds will be sent. Your member number is the umbrella number for your whole DCU relationship. Your account number is the one or two digit number found on your statement for each of your checking, savings, certificate, or loan accounts.
- The name and address of the receiving bank. The address is necessary only for International Wires.
- The receiving bank's 9 digit ABA number.
- The account number the money is going to and the name on the account.
- A phone number for our Wires Team to contact you prior to sending the wire if there are any difficulties, such as the destination institution not being on line.
To speed processing of your request, we prefer you log into PC Branch and submit your request online using Secure Forms.
To receive a wire, the sending institution will need...
- Our ABA number – 2113-9182-5
- Your name
- Your member number
- The one or two-digit account (suffix) number of the account where the funds should be deposited
What you can expect:
- You will be charged a $15.00 wire fee for Domestic Wires
- You will be charged a $40.00 wire fee for International Wires sent in foreign currency.
- You will be charged a $50.00 wire fee for International Wires sent in US currency.
- The receiving institution may charge additional fees
- Incoming wires are free
- Wire requests will be sent based on the time it is received AND verified:

- Arrival times may vary, especially for foreign wires.
- If additional information or verification is needed, a DCU Wires Team Member will contact you using the information we have on file. If we are unable to reach you, there will be a delay in the processing of your wire. After 5 business days, your wire request will be voided.
