Certificate IRAs (Individual Retirement Accounts) allow you to earn a great dividend rate on your retirement funds. For a low minimum balance of $500, you can choose a Certificate with terms from three months to five years.
Dividends are compounded daily on the entire account balance and credited monthly. Dividend rates are fixed for the entire term. There are no annual fees. A dividend penalty may be incurred for an early withdrawal.
Certificate IRAs can be used for Traditional, Roth, Coverdell Education Savings Accounts (formerly Education IRA), and for Small Business Plans.
Highest Dividend Rates with Relationship Checking – If you have a Relationship Checking relationship when you open or renew a DCU Certificate, you'll automatically receive the highest published dividend rate for that certificate. Other great certificate rates are available.
IRAs are federally insured up to $250,000 per member by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a U.S. Government Agency.
There are several ways to make both Current and Prior Year Contributions to a DCU IRA and the process to transfer or roll an existing IRA from another institution to a DCU IRA couldn't be simpler.   • Transferring an existing IRA to DCU.
  • Rolling an existing IRA or retirement funds into a DCU IRA.
  • Completing a direct rollover from your employer's retirement plan into a DCU IRA.

IRA forms at DCU's Retirement Central Service Center – This online service is an easy way to complete your IRA forms. Simply answer some questions regarding the transaction you wish to complete and the Service Center will produce the necessary forms.
