DCU Visa® Fraudulent Activity Protection

To protect your account and minimize fraudulent activity, we sometimes place blocks on particular merchants or locations where we learn fraud is prevalent. We always work closely with Visa to monitor current fraud patterns and add or remove blocks as these patterns change. These blocks affect international travelers the most.
If you are traveling abroad and plan on using your DCU Visa or Check Card, it is always a good idea to contact DCU to learn if a block is in effect for the country you are visiting. Please call 800.328.8797, email us at dcu@dcu.org, or speak with a Member Service Representative regarding your upcoming international travel plans.
