With up-to-date technology and around the clock access, DCU serves members in all 50 states. Members come to DCU for a wide variety of savings, loan, and financial products and services. Our philosophy is to provide members with superior value through high dividend rates, low loan rates, convenient terms, and caring professional service.
DCU is governed by a 7-member Board of Directors. These volunteers, elected by the membership, ensure DCU is operated in the best interest of all members.
Unlike major commercial banks, DCU has no stockholders. The members who use our services are our only priority. All credit union earnings are returned to members as dividends on their savings accounts, competitive loan interest rates, member service, or go into required reserves.
Each member's savings is insured to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a U.S. Government Agency. Individual Retirement Accounts are insured separately up to $250,000 per member.

 How Your Association Can Join Our Field of Membership

An Association can also offer DCU to their members if it meets the following requirements...
  • Have an association office located within 25 miles of a DCU Branch.
  • Have elected officials.
  • Collect membership dues.
  • Provide a copy of bylaws.
  • Provide formalized member correspondence (i.e., newsletter, web site, etc.).

 How Your Company Can Join Our Field of Membership

Offering DCU service to your employees requires the approval of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). We will assist you with the entire application process. To apply for DCU service, your company must...
  • Be located within 25 miles of a DCU Branch.
  • Submit a Service Request Letter (application) to DCU on company letterhead.
The letter must include the following:
  • A request for DCU's service
  • The number of employees
  • The location of the company
  • The number of miles to the nearest DCU Branch
  • The type of business
  • A statement that the company does not have credit union service
If over 3,000 employees...
  • A statement explaining why you would not or could not form a new credit union to serve your employees
Once we receive and approve your letter and application, we complete the NCUA application and forward everything directly to the NCUA. The entire process will be complete within 2 weeks.
